I've decided...

At an undefined time in the future... when I have a house of my own to decorate for Christmas... I want to put a star on top of my Christmas tree... no angel... no Santa... and not just any star... the Jewish six-pointed star... the Star of David.

Because isn't that perfect? Its a star that led the wise men to Jesus and Jesus was from the line of David... so ya.

What is it with me and Jewish heritage? I used to know several Jewish dances... in fact that's how I sprained my ankle the last time (there have been many times); I've been to a Messianic Jewish congregation (it was so dynamic and awe-inspiring because of all the rich history that has been fullfilled in Jesus) and I even have a prayer shawl...

I've never been to Israel... and I never thought much about it until a friend of mine in college talked about his semester abroad there... going to all the places mentioned in the Bible and how amazing it was to be there... Then just this past Wednesday, one of the ladies at church was talking about how her son was soon to be stationed in Israel and she was excited to go and visit him. When she said that, I piped up begging for her to take me with her... I think I was a little hyper that night...

Anyway... I need to stop procrastinating. I have an application essay or two that I've been putting off for two months now and I need to get them done before Christmas so that I don't have to worry about them... hmm... we'll see how that goes...
