BUT I've recently learned about a personality classification system that may also explain this in my life to some extent... its called D-I-S-C or something like that... and I am an "I"... I am very much an "I"... which apparently accounts for my rapid mood changes in response to minor (good or bad) shifts in circumstances; as well as the tendency to be unable to stick to one specific task for very long... well, anyway, it pegged me pretty well... which means I'm pretty close to the extreme... scary! :-) But I also have some "D" ... but I'm really an "I"
Super simplified grid:
* * * * * * * * * * * * People-focused * * * Task-focused
Active/Outgoing * * * * Influential * * * * * * Dominant
Passive/Internal* * * * * Steady * * * * * * * Conscientious
Dominant
(Direct, Driver, Demanding, Determined, Decisive, Doer)
Independent, persistent, direct.
Energetic, busy, fearless.
Focus on own goals rather than people.
Tell rather than ask.
Ask 'What?'
Influential
(Inducement, Inspiring, Impressive, Interacting, Interesting)
Social, persuasive, friendly.
Energetic, busy, optimistic, distractible.
Imaginative, focus on the new and future.
Poor time managers. Focused on people than tasks.
Tell rather than ask.
Ask 'Who?'
Steady
(Submissive, Stable, Supportive, Shy, Status quo, Specialist)
Consistent, like stability.
Accommodating, peace-seeking.
Like helping and supporting others. Good listeners and counselors.
Close relationships with few friends.
Ask, rather than tell.
Ask 'How?' and 'When?'
Conscientious
(Cautious, Compliant, Correct, Calculating, Concerned, Careful, Contemplative)
Slow and critical thinker, perfectionist.
Logical, fact-based, organized, follows rules.
Don't show feelings. Private. Few, but good friends.
Big-picture, outlines.
Ask 'Why?' and 'How?'

I no get grid. Grid no makea sensea to me. A.
ignore the stars... they are merely for placement of the words. Pick one from the top choices and one from the side choices and find the D-I-S-C that lines up between them
I am so a "C". Like, straight up.
