Well, I did pretty good yesterday. I've been putting off grad school stuff for two months and my self-inflicted deadline was Christmas... and I just decided that I want to aim to finish Waking the Dead by John Eldredge, which I borrowed from a friend, before Christmas as well.
So yesterday, I put off grad school stuff just long enough to read a good chunk of the book, so that made me happy. And then... somehow... I was inspired to find my checklists for each school and start checking off things and putting the finished ones in the proper envelopes. Plus I had to finish prepping the envelopes for my references and send the proper forms for transcript requests... holy cow, its a process to apply to graduate school... this is crazy.
And by the end of the day, not only had I mapped out the stitches for the finishing touches of a project (which also needs to be done before I leave to go home in 8 days) and read 30 pages in my book, but now the envelopes for my references are sitting in the mailbox waiting to be picked up... and my application forms are filled out and sitting in their proper envelopes.
Now all I really have left are my essays... which becomes the task of the day... oh joy! Gee... I wonder why I've been putting them off... grrr... I guess all I can say is that I'm just glad that they're the easiest type of essay for me to write... if they weren't... I don't know if I'd make it to grad school... ;-)
