Exciting Day

Tonight is the concert I've been waiting for. Sherwood is touring with Relient K and Mae. I don't know Mae very well (the songs I've heard I like), but Sherwood is enough to get me to a concert because their style is just a little different, they're a lot of fun in concert, and a friend of mine from junior high/high school is one of their members (Dan Koch). Plus, I've always loved quirky Relient K, and I recently decided that I need to see all my favorite bands/groups in concert, so there you have it... plus its my birthday on Tuesday, so its an excuse to spend money... or at least I pretend it is. :D

Well, I bought pre-sale tickets ages ago, knowing that I'd want to see them when they got to St Louis. And its finally here. Today's the day. My friend Britney is coming with me (why would you go to a concert alone?), and its in walking distance from my apartment (I live near the Loop, which is the happening street near campus).

So I called Dan yesterday completely expecting to leave a voicemail because I wanted to be able to just say hi if that was at all possible. I saw him about a year ago because he was in town, and I happened to be in town, so he joined us for my birthday and that was a lot of fun.

When he picked up the phone I was kind of surprised, which quickly turned to shock when he told me that he'd just put two VIP passes at will call for me, and Britney and I can come back and hang out. I almost died. Seriously. And now I feel really cool. I'm with the band. HA HA. :D
