still nothing terrible...

After hearing all the news about the storm, I was terrified to follow through with my plans for the evening. One of the girls in my program e-mailed us all to meet at Blueberry Hill (the happenin' place in this part of St Louis/University City).

Well, since it was not that far from my apartment, I figured that even if the weather got bad fast and I couldn't drive home, I could walk. So I went. At first, Mandy and I thought we would be the only ones, but they all trickled in and soon there were 8 of us.

We all crammed around the table and oscillated between several conversations and one unified one. It was great. One of the girls works at a high-end bar, so three of us (and maybe my roommate, too- who was too tired to come out tonight) are going to visit her tomorrow... or rather, today. She works near Mandy's house, so we're gonna meet there and walk... I hate the whole DD-thing and its not like you can catch a cab in this part of town... its too mellow for that... in fact, the whole city may be too mellow for that.

Anyway, I'm very excited! Its especially fun because I currently have no homework hanging over my head, and I'm just getting to know these girls... we're already planning a movie & baking marathon... lets hope we manage to make the time for it... :D

YOUR PICTURES!?! Well, excuse, me! I had no idea that I had such an obligation.... ;)

I actually haven't taken any pictures since the first day... I guess I could post some pics from the drive... We'll see what happens... I'm still focused on trying to find furniture so that I can actually unpack! :P
