"Every day that passes, I think of as another day without a job. At this point in my life, it's quite possible employment would feel much more meaningful than true love." -Rosie (February 11, 2006)Rosie is a friend of mine from junior high and high school. We're both back in town, now, so I've seen her a couple times recently and I just stumbled upon her blog... and I know I didn't properly ask you for permission for the quote, Rosie, but I just had to post it because I laughed so hard when I read it.
[Background: Rosie used to write random bits of poetry on random pieces of paper in junior high. I thought they were genius, so I collected them and typed them up. I've misplaced a lot of them, but I recently returned to her - 10 years later - the pieces I had.. and they're still so clever, but silly]
And this quote totally cracks me up because it sums up our lives right now. All my girls and I talk about is interviews and job offers and guys... and no matter how much we really enjoy guys and all have wishes for a fairy tale ending, we'd all pick a great job over them in a second... well, maybe not... but then again... maybe so...

Permission granted. And I'm delighted that you laughed at my misery! Every misery I allude to on my blog is specifically designed to be an entertaining snippet of reading. Your are blogging and I am blogging. I extend my hand to you in welcome and greeting. Consider this your offical invitation to quote and slander me. ;)
Mikalicious, I can't come to your movie, drinking, sleepover partee on Fri because I'm going to Santa Barbara for the weekend. :( And I planned it a while ago. But you will do this again sometime, yes?
Yes, of course. And maybe we'll just do a regular girls night this weekend and postpone the alcoholic sleepover for another week... we just had one a week ago anyway... :-)
'alcoholic sleepover' *smirks*
