ITS RAINING!!! :-D

I love the rain! And it doesn't feel like winter in California without it. And its felt more like SoCal recently... or even Florida, with all the heat. But today it is cold and rainy... how wonderful! :-D

I don't know why I love rain so much. Maybe its familiar... maybe its fun... and maybe its because there's something romantic about it... or that when I'm sad its nice when the weather matches your mood in that way. I just love it.

If nothing else, its makes the everyday things of life more interesting. I have to wear different shoes so that my feet don't get wet. I have to strategically choose a jacket so that I will stay warm and dry and hooded. And then you have to get to the car fast so that you don't get wet. And you have to pay attention and avoid the puddles when you get out of the car to go somewhere else.

But if you want to, you can stand in the rain... arms outstretched... turning in a circle... eyes blinking frantically as you stare up at the drops flying down on you... knowing that just a few feet away is a dry and cozy place for you to retreat and be warm again.

I love it when it rains...
