We'll be leaving at 8am in the morning because we have to drive 3 hours to get to an airport that had a non-stop to Ohio on such late notice... but there's also the Keys evacuation traffic to worry about. Our flight isn't until 3pm and we won't get into Ohio until 8 or 9pm because of the drive from the airport after we arrive.
And its total madness here. Every store is running out of gas and water because people are freaking out and buying more than they need. Its just crazy... I'm glad I'm leaving.
And part of preparing for a hurricane is worrying about water damage: flooding or roof flying away or windows breaking. Chances are, none of that will happen, but you have to prepare for it in case it does. And its totally counter-intuitive to me because as I'm towering things in the top of my closet (to avoid flood damage), I keep thinking, "Is this stable enough? Will it fall?" I'm just so used to earthquakes and things falling that even preparing for this natural disaster (even though you never get the chance to prepare for an earthquake), I go into earthquake mode because its the only thing I know.... its weird.
So anyway, I should have access to a computer this week, but I probably won't be on very often... the boys are a full-time job. :-D
