I am officially a Florida resident... that's weird. I even had to sign for the computer they bought for my room... I was the only one available to answer the door at the time and I asked the UPS guy if it mattered who signed for it and he said, "No, you live here, right?" and it felt very weird to reply, "yes, I do."
Bill and Roni (the parents) are great. They are very goofy and direct... my kind of people. They made me feel right at home, but it still hasn't sunk in that I'll be living here for the next year... maybe I need to sleep here for a week or so and then see how I feel.
After unpacking (yes, I have already unpacked even though it was very hard for me to not get distracted with other things... and I only had about 1 hour of sleep on the plane last night), I wandered down the street to see what it was like. Well, it's very hot... and sticky. Bill said I might see alligators (or crocodiles... I can't keep them straight), but I didn't see any because it was too late in the afternoon. But I'm excited to see one up close.
Christopher and Ethan (the twins) arrive tomorrow morning with their grandma. I had to child-proof my room, which is a new thing for me, but I'm very excited to meet the boys tomorrow...
And I really need to go to bed because I've been awake for 37 hours with about 1-2 hours of sleep in the middle. But I do have to add two things... kay, wait, three things: 1) The clouds here are really cool... I'll be taking lots of pictures; 2) Warm summer rain is a daily thing here and I LOVE tropical rain... maybe it strikes me as romantic, I don't know; and 3) I get to sleep in a queen-sized bed. Sure I've slept in them at hotels and stuff, but I've never had one as my bed that I sleep in every night... So ya, those are three silly things that made me happy today in the silly way that I get.
Pictures and other stuff to come... now to bed.

Hey! I hope you have fun with the boys! Be sure to take pictures of them, your house, and your room--I want to see it all (clouds included, though I don't see how they can be TOO extraordinary)....I'm going up to San Jose on Thursday---your mommy really misses you :(
