Windiness and Tornadoes

A storm rolled in yesterday and it rained a bit... less than I thought it would.

And then last night they sent out a warning about tornadoes... ya, I kind of got freaked out. The only time tornadoes have ever been in question for me is when I've been with family in Illinois and I always knew to go to the basement... the furnished and comfortable basement.

Here, I live on the second floor. And with two apartments on each floor, the first floor consists of the Awkwardizer and a married couple I don't know... I don't exactly feel comfortable inviting myself over should a tornado siren go off... and I believe that though there is a space below the building, it looks pretty shady and I have no idea how to get into it.

Well, I woke up this morning, semi-surprised to still be alive with the building still intact. And today its been fairly warm, fairly dry, and ridiculously windy. Its like the wind is wreaking havoc on my poor unstable windows... they tend to bang and creak even in the slightest breaze.

So here I sit at my computer in shorts trying to write a 20-page midterm as the wind frequently sounds like someone banging on my window to get in.
