My Experiment

12:20pm - Fill two ice cube trays with water: the left column with tap water and the right one with "filtered" tap water, pray/sing/thank one tray and then place in freezer. This allows for a control group and insures that differences between the front and back of the freezer area will not effect results.

5:20pm - Remove trays and examine ice cubes.

I started with the "filtered" water cubes and began to second guess which side I had remembered placing the special tray on because the ice cubes looked almost identical to the previous batch, but they were reversed.

After concluding that I had not mistaken which one was which, I concluded that being next to the freezer wall on my ice cube shelf is what created the different pattern in my ice cubes because that was the common factor.

And I have to say that I was a little disappointed.

Experiment 2: I will be controlling for the side-to-side freezer placement (as opposed to just front to back), and coming up with a more in-depth "positive treatment"... but I don't know when I'll get to that because I'm going home soon! YAY!!! :D
