I'm still packing and surprisingly distractable. I knew that I wanted to get basically everything ready tonight before I went to bed, so that I wouldn't be worried about time in the morning. But when I got back from a party (HAPPY NEW YEAR! ...by the way), I ended up mesmerized by the cake decorating that was happening on the Food Network... and I kept sitting there thinking, "I need to get up and keep moving... just get up... turn off the TV..."
Anyway, not everything fit in my car... big surprise! I'll have to leave a few things and repackage some others... and though I was panicking 9 hours ago, I'm pretty chill right now... but totally tired... okay, I really need to go.
Countdown to departure: 9.5 hours... [cue sinister music] Dum dum DUM!
