Weekends are for traveling

I woke up this morning in San Diego... and since 8:45am, I have been here in San Jose at work.

Emily and I drove down on Saturday morning because she's moving there... or rather, has now moved there. We were able to stop by and have dinner with Mason and his roommates (:D), and then we hung out with Liana (who was down with family for a wedding).

On Sunday, I got to visit the church Emily will be working at as a youth pastor and take a trip down memory lane. You see, it was Ice Cream Sunday Fun Day, and it was one big sticky messy game-filled, chaos-driven afternoon. I didn't partake, but it was so fun to watch and it totally made me think of Woodleaf.... ahhh... happy memories.

And by the way, I LOVE her church. It almost makes me want to move there just to go to her church. Its nice and small (which I like), but they have a huge range of ages and the youth are totally engaged and involved by the programs... ya, I just loved it.

And I know that I've always said how much I don't want to settle in Southern California. Well, I've been tainted by LA and its time that I put a stop to it. San Diego is GORGEOUS! I loved it! You've got beach and sun and trees and mountains everywhere you look. So beautiful!

Anyway, this morning I got up at 4am and got on the plane at 6:30am and landed at 8am and was at work only 45 min later than usual. Man, that's still a trip. And I totally slept on the plane! I never do that! I mean, it was more like dozing and the flight itself was only a little over an hour, but it surprised me... I must be totally exhausted... hmm... I should do something about that.
