I will be home in 1 day 11 hours and 28 minutes...
The thought that I will be home for Christmas tomorrow night is so wonderful and it makes me really happy! My family will all (well, my dad's side, anyway) be at my house and I'll even get to see my friends! YAY!
And even though I didn't even come CLOSE to following my schedule yesterday (except for the last part), I'm hopeful that everything that really needs to get done before I leave tomorrow will get done. I'm just going to keep plugging away at the laundry, the blanket I need to finish, my essays, minor tasks, and packing...
...and I'll just keep telling myself, "you'll be home tomorrow night... you'll be home tomorrow night..."
Too bad I can't go to the bonfire tonight... my Florida crew is having another bonfire, but I'm working today... sad feelings. You know, bonfires in Florida are a really funny concept... and its pretty funny to watch, too. The guys light a fire in a barrel that's hoisted a bit off the ground for air circulation... and then we set up a circle of chairs around it... at least six to eight feet away from the fire because its way too hot. And then it is only the really daring ones who get any closer to it... and we don't wear jackets because its pretty warm anyway.. and then you add the fire, too... and then we roast marshmallows and heat glass bottles until we can mold them into something else... its a very strange and entertaining sight... and we just stand around talking and snacking and watching the boys give in to their pyro tendencies... and more talking in the dark... too bad I'll be missing it tonight.
