So today, Roni was home but she had to sleep because she has to work all night tonight. So the boys and I left and went to my friend Danielle's house. We went to the park, tried to play Candyland (the boys each took 2 turns and then walked away... talk about short attention spans...), and watched Blue's Room (not, Blue's Clues.. there's a difference... I guess) and Sponge Bob.
Then we went to the store on our way home... and I was pretty wary about how that was going to work. I've never had to be the sole person in charge of the boys at the store... plus we had limited time because I had to get the car back so Roni could leave for work. But, it worked out fine because we only really needed a couple items which I knew would be easy to find... plus they had these cool carts attached to a green car that fits two children. PERFECT! And we even got back with time to spare.
The second first was that the boys needed a haircut... and I know that those clippers are pretty idiot-proof, but I hadn't ever cut kids hair before, and I think I'd only used those cutters for touch-ups to help out my dad. So... I just finished cutting the hair on two 3-yr-old squirmy heads. And I'm pretty proud of myself. And now its bath time because they're covered in little tiny pieces of hair.
You know, I feel like I should be old enough that there shouldn't be very many firsts left in my life... but I guess there are still a lot more to come... and I guess I won't even be able to say that when I'm 50 because then my body will be falling apart and there will be more firsts.... you know, I didn't mean that to sound depressing... oh well.

I could take offense at the 50 and body falling apart thing but at some levels it is true.....
