Returning... for now

I'm actually done leaving on vacations. I was gone basically the whole month of July and now I have returned from going to: a friends' wedding in California, Disneyland to see my cousin play in the band, Canada vacation with family, family relative wedding in Washington, and family camping trip with friends.

I am now quite tan from Tahoe and definitely enjoying that. I keep looking in the mirror to marvel at the difference in my skin color and exclaiming that I have tan lines because I really haven't seen what I looked like all week. And I definitely have some interesting stories from Tahoe... we took Maren out for drinks on her twenty-first birthday at a Tahoe casino, where I had a Cabo Waborita (the special house margarita) and my second shot of all time with the name we don't like to say so we just call it a BJ (most people probably know what that is... but if you don't.... too bad!). Then there's the night on the beach where we went to look at the stars and ended up watching the lightening storm across the lake, seeing more shooting stars than ever, and having seven drunk guys run onto the beach, strip, skinny dip, and swear up a storm without even noticing six people huddled closely together on a couple blankets.

Anyway, I'm back to life, now and not quite sure how to spend my time. I have a plane ticket for Florida and I'll be leaving on Friday the 26th of August. I'm really excited and kind of scared at the same time. This will definitely be a new experience for me.

And the Giants game is set, now.... with Liana's help. So we're going this Friday if you want to come and I haven't already talked to you about it. Call me and I'd be happy to give you details. :-)

Oh, and FYI: I saw Stealth and Batman Begins at the Drive-in tonight with my Tahoe people. We brought a couple trucks and a Jag (yah, a Jaguar) and just tried not to freeze... yes, we're Californians and we don't know the meaning of the word... get over it! I haven't really decided what I thought of either movie yet, but they definitely kept my interest even with lots of social time available (which says a lot coming from me). So ya... we'll see if I have thoughts on them later... I think at the moment my only comment would be: "Wow, how could I have forgotten how attractive Christian Bale is!?!"
