I drove to San Francisco tonight for a surprise birthday party for my lively and silly friend Lexi. It was so fun, but I totally pooped out early: I felt like going home at the shameful hour of 9:30pm.... UNHEARD OF! We didn't actually leave until about 10:30, but still!
And of course I got lost on my way there..... I HATE ONE WAY STREETS! And I don't think I need to repeat myself! Maren was with me, though, and she definitely saved me (as she learned the horrifying truth about my sense of direction: it doesn't exist).
So ya... their apartment was very cute and it got me thinking about living in a big city. I've always loved the thought of living in a big city.... without a car (that's the worst thing to have in a big city) and just walking or traveling by subway or what-not. I still can't decide if I would actually really enjoy it or if I would miss suburbia.... I really do enjoy suburbia, but there's just something strangely energizing about a big city. And of course only an extrovert would say that. :-D
