Yes, I know you can get sunburned in cloudy weather but I didn't think I could get this sunburned in cloudy weather. The last time I tried to sunbathe in cloudy weather I ended up with nothing. And today I was wearing my normal clothes (as opposed to a bathingsuit), so it was only my dark arms showing, so I guess I just figured they wouldn't get burned. Welp... I'm officially stupid. I even pulled out some sunscreen and set it beside me because I knew I should probably put it on... and I didn't. The really funny part of it all is that I rolled up my jeans to just below my knees and then I laid on my stomach for about 2 hours... and it probably wouldn't have crossed my mind to put sunscreen on my calves, but what do you know... I have a funny red line half-way up my calves... and its not very comfortable either.
Okay, I'm done complaining. The beach trip was actually really fun. I got to see my friend Mason who's been roughing it in Europe for most of the summer... poor guy. It was weird to be back with my church college group, though, because I've kind of switched over to the 20's group now. But what was really weird is that a young friend of mine there (we were in band together when he was in junior high and I was finishing up high school) who has now graduated from high school, is in the college group, and looks and sounds really old. I've seen him a couple times recently and it still trips me out. I don't know if I can handle watching guys go through puberty unless I see them everyday... its just too weird.
Speaking of which, Katie, Jared is quite the cutie... I think I should try to hook you up... ;-) How do you feel about tall guys with curly blond hair? Wait... I want one, too, but he's in the wrong age bracket for me.... ho hum.
