I'm taking an online course this summer on Greek and Roman Mythology. I needed three extra elective units and I didn't want to take them during the school year. I've always wanted to learn more about mythology but I've never had the opportunity. And now here it is.
Well, I ordered my text book from Amazon.com (I love them-especially when I purchase an order worth $25 or more because they ship it for free). And I recieved it a while ago, but when I went to start my homework, I realized it was the wrong edition and that enough things had been altered that it was going to be a big problem. So then I was afraid I was going to have to send a request clear across the country in order to get the book I needed since it was an older edition and most likely out of print. But then my wonderful boyfriend recommended Powell's Books and I found exactly what I needed. The only problem was that I didn't get free shipping (you have to spend $50 there to get it), but because it was a rare thing that only they had, it was totally worth it because of their awesome selection! So ya, anyway, I have the books now and I'm very happy about it.
I even started reading for the first lesson today. And I really need to get going because this is going to take me at least until the end of the summer and I'm going to be on vacation for three weeks next month... thats going to cut into my "schooltime" significantly.
So anyway, I'm totally stoked. I better get back to reading. I'm sure I'll be talking about it later.
